May - Scarlett Shoulder Bag Class - Sallie Tomato

May 17th, 2025 from 9:30am to 4pm - SewBoji in Spirit Lake, IA
This bag looks great with cotton fabrics, faux leather or cork - or combine fabrics like the one below to add different textures to your piece.
Limited spots available for this class which will give those that attend a very personal learning experience. Great for those who are new to sewing bags or new to using these fabrics and hardware. No Zippers!

Class costs $60 and includes the pattern, full day of instruction, a pre-work video for cutting instructions, pre-class support, lunch on class day and snacks. Attendees also get a 20% discount on class day purchases from SewBoji (not including initial class kit) and 20% off for the month from Sallie Tomato.

• Full Faux Kit $32.88 (includes hardware, your choice of faux leather for the full bag, sew in foam, stabilizer for the lining) still need 1/2 yard fabric for lining

• Full Cork Kit $50.88 (includes hardware, your choice of faux leather for the full bag, sew in foam, stabilizer for the lining) still need 1/2 yard fabric for lining

• Cotton Lining - $6.50 (small selection of options)  but this is a great opportunity to pull a 1/2 yard from your own stash!

• Accent Faux Kit $20.88 (includes hardware, your choice of faux leather for the accents, sew in foam, stabilizer for the lining) you bring your own 1/2 yard of fabric for the main portion of the bag and you still need 1/2 yard for lining

• Accent Cork Kit $26.88 (includes hardware, your choice of cork for the accents, sew in foam, stabilizer for the lining) you bring your own 1/2 yard of fabric for the main portion of the bag and you still need 1/2 yard for lining

April - SewBoji Anniversary Party

I am so blessed to have such wonderful customers. To celebrate, we are hosting a come and go anniversary party.  We will have food, free gifts and lots of fun!  Mark your calendars!

Completed - Mini Jessica Bag Class

This Mini Jessica Bag from Sallie Tomato is a fun sewing project! The bag is just the right size for your essentials and a little extra.

• Morgan, a wonderful client and enthusiastic sewer, has teamed up with me to organize this event in her hometown. She will provide pork sandwiches for everyone, and we kindly ask that you bring a side dish or dessert to share for lunch.

• The cost of the class is $100, which includes the pattern, hardware (with six options to choose from), and faux leather (with various choices available). If you prefer a cork option or pre-made webbing, we can arrange that for an additional fee.​​​

The Blue Water Quilt guild has upcoming sew days on Sept 27 and 28th. Guild members that want to learn how to make the Lucky Penny Wallet from Sallie Tomato with this beautiful crystal lock just have to reach out to me  - limited seats open

Completed - Pieceful Spirits Retreat - Sophie Class

This class is available to the Pieceful Spirits retreaters coming to Okoboji in early October. This cute cross body stiches up quickly and has this glorious chain hardware! Retreaters can reach out to the hosts to book a spot.
