About SewBoji

SewBoji is a home‑based longarm quilting studio in Spirit Lake, Iowa. We’re appointment‑only for quilt and custom‑piece drop‑offs and pickups. We serve the Iowa Great Lakes area and Northwest Iowa. We also accept shipments and do intake via video for those outside the area who can't physically get here.

I’m Billie Jo Howard Knaack, and SewBoji is the realization of a dream I’ve carried since 2015. Quilting runs in my family—I'm a 4th generation quilter—my family legacy inspires my work today. With 25+ years in technology, I blend traditional craftsmanship with modern tools and techniques.

My quilting journey began with an art piece for my home and grew as I explored new methods and embraced embroidery and software‑driven design. I also love making bags and have created samples for stores, taught classes, and served as a Sallie Tomato Affiliate and Retailer. I’m a proud member of the Longarm League.
